Fisher Vineyards Wine Offer

Fisher Vineyards: A Legacy Rooted
in the Mayacamas

Among the storied vineyards of California, Fisher Vineyards has quietly and steadily built a legacy defined by family, integrity, and a deep reverence for the land. Now in its sixth decade, the winery remains guided by its founding principles: to craft wines that respect nature, reflect their origin, and endure with grace.

The Fisher family’s journey began in 1973, when Fred and Juelle Fisher purchased 100 acres of rugged, forested land high in the Mayacamas Mountains. Driven by a shared vision of establishing something lasting and meaningful, they planted the first 20 acres of vineyard by hand, laying the groundwork for what would become their Mountain Estate in Sonoma County. The site’s high elevation, rocky soils, and dramatic exposures created the foundation for wines of distinction—wines shaped as much by the challenging landscape as by the family’s dedication to classical, thoughtful winemaking.

Just two years later, in 1975, the Fishers expanded with the acquisition of a
70-acre parcel in Calistoga along Simmons Creek in Napa Valley. This second property, known today as the Napa Valley Estate, is home to the Lamb and RCF Vineyards and provides a completely different lens into California’s terroir. Here, well-drained cobblestone and loam soils, framed by native oak, madrone, and bay laurel trees, offer an ideal environment for crafting wines of structure and elegance. These two estate sites—each with their own voice and natural beauty, form the foundation of the Fisher portfolio and underscore the family’s belief in the importance of place.

The family produced its first commercial vintage in 1979 and has remained committed to small-lot, estate-driven winemaking ever since. The vineyards are farmed with a light touch and a focus on long-term health and vitality, including the use of cover crops and sustainable practices. In the cellar, native yeasts, French oak aging, and bottling without fining or filtration are used to preserve the authenticity of each wine and each vintage.

As their vision evolved, so too did the family’s presence in the vineyards and winery. Fred and Juelle’s children, Whitney, Robert, and Cameron, have since assumed leadership roles in winemaking, vineyard management, and business operations. Their involvement has brought new energy and a continued commitment to the founding values of stewardship, quality, and humility. In 2019, the family completed construction of a winery at the Napa Valley Estate, making it possible for all Napa Valley wines to be vinified on-site, deepening their relationship to the land and the wines it yields.

With over five decades of dedication, Fisher Vineyards continues to honor its origins. Through meticulous stewardship of their Mountain Estate and Napa Valley Estate vineyards, the family crafts wines that reflect the unique character of each site. Their enduring commitment to quality and authenticity ensures that each vintage tells a story of place, purpose, and the enduring legacy of a family deeply connected to the land.

We’re pleased to share a selection of current releases from Fisher Vineyards, now available for Mayacama Members:

2024 UNITY Rosé

Made from 100% Malbec using the traditional saignée method and aged in 100% neutral French oak barrels, preserving its bright, crisp character without undergoing malolactic fermentation. This Rosé embodies a refreshing balance of structure and freshness—inviting you to simply enjoy the moment rather than overthink the wine.

2022 Mountain Estate Vineyard Chardonnay

Grown on a steep, northeast-facing slope on the western side of the Mayacamas range, these 25-year-old vines produce fruit of exceptional nuance. Whole cluster sorted and fermented with native yeasts, this Chardonnay sees light bâtonnage and is aged sur lie for 18 months in French oak barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it reveals a textured, mineral-driven profile that speaks clearly of its unique mountain terroir.

2019 UNITY Pinot Noir

A thoughtful blend of six distinct clones from both mountain and valley sites in Anderson Valley. With 25% whole cluster fermentation and 15 months aging in French oak barrels (only 30% new), this wine offers vibrant fruit, refined tannins, and remarkable length—all bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve its purity and character.

We are pleased to offer these exceptional wines to you today, inviting you to experience the remarkable craftsmanship and enduring legacy of the Fisher family. Their commitment to land, tradition, and balance truly mirrors the spirit of Mayacama, and we’re proud to share their story and wines with you.

Cheers!
