Just last month, a few Mayacama team members and I took a short drive down Shiloh Road to visit my friend Jill Davis at DuMOL Winery. There was no grand vineyard walk, no sweeping views of rolling bucolic hills. Instead, we stepped into the heart of a working winery—past the loud clatter of a mobile bottling line, where the DuMOL team was hard at work getting their juice into glass. My lovely friend Jill, moving with her signature grace and efficiency, handed us glassware and whisked us away from the bustle of the winery floor to the quiet of the tasting room in the back.
It was here that we had the chance to meander through three Chardonnays and three Pinot Noirs. We had a hard time picking favorites—not individually, because we all knew what we liked—but because as we talked through each wine, we kept discovering new layers to appreciate. With maps and vineyard photos, Jill gave us a virtual tour of DuMOL’s vineyards—three glasses at a time. We picked out some standouts, and I think you’ll agree, these wines are truly something special.
Specializing in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, DuMOL has built a reputation for wines that showcase the unique terroir of this renowned region. Few names resonate more with the Club’s past and present; DuMOL’s future could not look any brighter.
At the helm of DuMOL’s success is Winegrower and Partner Andy Smith, who has been leading the winemaking team since 1999. Under his guidance, the winery has flourished, producing wines that embody depth, clarity, and elegance. Complementing Andy’s expertise are Cellar Master Jaime and Winemaker Jenna. This trio’s leadership and dedication to their craft ensures that each bottle reflects DuMOL’s unwavering commitment to quality.
DuMOL’s vineyards, located within a focused ten-mile radius in the Russian River Valley, are farmed with precision and care. In 2023, they took this commitment even further by establishing their own craft farming team, allowing for hands-on stewardship from vine to bottle. Their 100 estate acres, organically and regeneratively farmed, reflect their philosophy: “The best fertilizer is the footsteps of the farmer.”
The wines of DuMOL are world-class, showcasing purity of fruit, depth of character, and a strong sense of place. Each bottle is a reflection of the winery’s dedication to craftsmanship, sustainable farming, and the expression of the Russian River Valley’s unique terroir. Whether you’re already a fan or discovering them for the first time, we invite you to experience these phenomenal wines that not only stand the test of time but continue to reveal new layers of complexity with every sip. They are a true testament to the vision, passion, and dedication of one of Sonoma’s finest wineries.
Today’s Mayacama Wine Offer provides members with access to the following DuMOL wines…

2022 Chardonnay, “Chloe,” Russian River Valley – A beautiful, layered, and richer style of Chardonnay to enjoy soon after release, with aromas and flavors akin to peach, apricot, oatmeal, and anise.

2022 Chardonnay, “Isobel,” Charles Heintz Vineyard, Sonoma Coast – This Chardonnay presents exotic aromas of ginger, honey, lemongrass, and mint, leading to intense flavors of lemon, lime, and green apple. Its deep, layered texture is balanced by vibrant acidity, adding freshness, while a lingering finish reveals savory botanical notes and a flinty edge.

2022 Pinot Noir, “Ryan,” Russian River Valley – Traditionally DuMOL’s most fruit-filled and approachable Pinot bottling that ages gracefully for a decade-plus, with black cherry, briary wild berries, pomegranate, and licorice notes.

2019 Pinot Noir, Estate, Russian River Valley (Library Release) – A wine with great aging potential, grown in DuMOL’s original organically farmed, high-density vine plantings from 2004. This is the best of the best.
These offerings exemplify DuMOL’s dedication to their craft and the unique characteristics of their vineyards. We invite you to experience these remarkable wines, each a testament to the winery’s legacy of excellence.
There are limited amounts of each wine available so if you are interested, I encourage you to act quickly. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions regarding the wines.
Thank you for your continued support.
Cheers!
