Chapman Dundas
Please join us in congratulating Mayacama Associate Professional Chapman Dundas, who has accepted the position of Head Golf Pr ofessional at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club. We are all excited about this opportunity for Chapman and his family as he takes this important next step in what has already been a great career in golf.
Chapman has been an integral part of Mayacama Golf Club since he joined us as our Associate Golf Professional in the Spring of 2005. Chapman’s expertise in the areas of retail merchandising, club fitting, management, tournament operations, junior golf, and in particular golf instruction has been instrumental in servicing not only our Members, but as a source of inspiration for our staff as well. He’s also grown as a Professional during his ten years at Mayacama, becoming certified in Golf Mechanics through the Titleist Performance Institute (Level III), K-Vest (Level II), and certification in Golf Operations in the PGA of America’s Certification Program as he pursues his Master Professional Status, the highest certification level in the PGA of America.
While we will all miss Chapman’s warmth and professional attitude, and we are all excited for him in reaching the ultimate goal of every PGA Professional, that of becoming a Head Golf Professional. Chapman will begin his responsibilities at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club on October 1st. In the meantime, please drop by the Golf Shop to say hello and congratulate Chapman on his accomplishment. We are all very proud!
Denise Silveira
 We have been very lucky to have Denise Silveira on our team as our amazing Activities Director for over six years! From the ground up, Denise built our amazing children's program with activities, field trips, and camps that are both educational and fun. She has played a integral role in the lives of many children and created memories for them that will last a lifetime. Denise has decided it is time to retire so she can focus on other aspects of her life. Although we are truly saddened that she is leaving the team, we are glad that we will still see Denise on a regular basis as a Member of Mayacama along with her husband, Scott Silveira and her father and mother-in-law, Jim & Karen Silveira. We thank Denise for her passion and leadership over the years and wish her all the best in her new endeavors!
Melinda Murray
Melinda Murray, a familiar face for many, has worked two seasons in Outside Services and since 2013 has been a great asset to our Guest Services team. We are excited to announce Melinda as the Club's  Interim Activities Director for the children's program. We have been carefully interviewing to find a suitable replacement; someone who will manage the program's success and also pioneer new frontiers. Melinda expressed interest in the position and we would like to give her the opportunity to take the reigns and see if the position is a fit for her. Melinda's outgoing personality, quick whit, and genuine care for Members makes her a joy to be around. While attending Chico State University, she was a key member of the Instructional Design Society for two years where she designed and developed teaching material for elementary schools. Dancing ballet since the age of three, she now choreographs and performs dance routines; her most recent performance in Cabaret with the North Bay Stage Company at the Wells Fargo Center. Melinda also has a passion for golf and enjoys competing in local golf competitions. CORKAGE POLICY

 As a friendly reminder, our corkage fee of $20 per 750ml bottle applies only to wine that was purchased outside the Club and brought in for consumption at the Club. The corkage fee is waived on all wine purchased through the Club. This includes wines purchased through our retail program, wine offers, special purchases, or from the wine list. Prior to shipment or placement in your wine locker, a Mayacama sticker is applied to each bottle as a way to identify it as purchased through the Club so you won't be charged the corkage fee.
NO SMOKING PLEASE!

 With rising temperatures, we have again entered high fire danger season so we are enforcing our no smoking on the golf course policy. Our Membership Agreement states "smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Mayacama property except in the designated smoking areas. Designated smoking areas are restricted to the private Women's Locker Room Terrace and the Library Terrace off the Men's Locker Room. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on or near the Golf Course or Practice Facility." During high fire danger season, this is a zero tolerance policy so as to protect the environment, club assets, personal property, and the homes on campus. We have asked our caddies and employees to assist in enforcing this policy. Violations to this important rule will result in Member suspension. Thank you for your cooperation.
