Safety Reminder: Posted Speed Limits & Supervision of Children

As activity around the Club continues to increase, I would like to take a moment to remind Members, homeowners, guests, employees, and caddies of the posted speed limits throughout the Mayacama property. These limits are outlined in the Mayacama Membership Guide and are in place to help ensure the safety of everyone who spends time at the Club.

For convenience, the current speed limits are listed below:

  • Faught Road Gate Entrance to the Mayacama Entrance: 25 mph
  • Gatehouse to the Swim & Tennis driveway: 35 mph
  • Swim & Tennis area: 15 mph
  • Maintenance Building to the Clubhouse: 25 mph

Recently, we have received several reports of vehicles traveling above the posted limits. Safety on property remains a top priority, and it is important that everyone adheres to these guidelines—particularly during the busy months when more families and children are enjoying life on the grounds.

To assist with reinforcing this policy, additional cameras have been installed in several locations around the property. We also ask that any unsafe driving be reported to the Club, including a vehicle description or license plate number when possible. Continued disregard for the posted limits may result in disciplinary action, including potential Member suspension or termination of employment or caddie privileges.

Additionally, I would like to remind families of our policy regarding children on property. Children under the age of 10 must be under the immediate supervision of an adult at all times. While we are pleased to offer the Clubhouse game room as a place for families to enjoy together, it is not a staffed area and should not be treated as a drop-off location for unsupervised children. We also kindly ask that families take a moment to tidy the space after use and return the room to the same condition in which it was found so that all Members may continue to enjoy it.

Our goal is simply to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone at Mayacama. Your cooperation and attentiveness are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
