| Tennis Court Resurfacing Project Completion |
|
We are thrilled to share that resurfacing work on the tennis courts is now complete, and both courts are once again open for Member play. The refreshed surfaces look fantastic and provide a smoother, safer, and more enjoyable playing experience for everyone.
With the completion of this important project, it is essential that we all do our part to care for the courts so they remain in excellent condition for years to come. Please review and follow the guidelines below, which are in place to protect the courts and ensure fair and safe use for all Members:
-
Proper tennis footwear is required at all times; non-marking tennis shoes only.
-
Courts are to be used for tennis play only.
-
Please refrain from bringing food or glass containers onto the courts.
-
Pets are not permitted on the courts at any time.
-
Remove all personal items, balls, and trash at the conclusion of play.
-
Do not drag chairs, benches, or other heavy objects across the surface.
-
Respect scheduled court times and be courteous to fellow Members.
By following these important rules, we can all help protect this new investment and maintain the level of excellence expected at Mayacama. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to seeing you back out on the courts enjoying the upgrades!
As a reminder, tennis lessons and clinics can be booked with Mayacama Tennis Pro, Ryan Olson, at [email protected]. |

| Women's Member-Guest Results |
|
Thank you all for making this year’s event such a memorable success from start to finish. We truly enjoyed sharing these two days with you and are already looking forward to next year!
In the final round, we shifted from scramble to fourball (best ball), and the course quickly showed its teeth. With no surprise, Hole 12 proved to be the toughest test of the day, though Tina Feeney and Dee Whitehall made it look easy. Tina striped a beautiful drive down the fairway, and Dee followed with a brilliant approach that clipped the flagstick before stopping just a foot from the cup. Their birdie (the only birdie the 12th had seen the entire day) secured them a spot in the final pairing on 18.
The stage was then set for a thrilling finish, with Tina and Dee facing off against Cindy Buckles and Diane Ehni on the final hole. With more than thirty spectators looking on, Diane delivered what might have been the shot of her life, a perfectly struck approach from 115 yards that used the backstop to perfection, rolling to within four feet of the 18th hole. Cindy stepped up and drained the par putt, sealing the victory for their team and capturing the 2025 Women’s Member Guest Championship.
