NEWEST VINTNER - WREN HOP VINEYARDS

We are happy to announce Wren Hop Vineyards as our newest Vintner! The McDonough family has been part of the Mayacama family for years and has just converted to Vintner membership.

The McDonough family stretches from San Francisco all the way to Chicago. The genetic tree includes admen, engineers, visionaries, and artists. They also happen to share a ridiculous passion for wine. Run by partners James McDonough in Sonoma and his father James McDonough Sr. back in the windy city, they hope to make Wren Hop a truly exceptional winery.

The wines are stellar...chardonnay and pinot noir. The winery is just behind the Sonoma County Airport, up on a hill, with a spectacular 360 degree view from Healdsburg to the Santa Rosa plaines to Forestville. Visits are by appointment only.

Wren Hop will be at this year's All Vintner Pour and will be part of our First Friday program this summer. A wine offer is also forthcoming. In the Bar & Grill we are offering their Royalty in Exile Pinot Noir by the glass, so please stop and enjoy.

We are gearing up for warm weather and fun in the sun at the Swim Center! New this year will be a cocktail bar, micro brews on tap, and a more extensive menu with choices for the whole family. You'll also be glad to know that we are installing wireless internet for your convenience.

CAMP MAYACAMA BEGINS JUNE 16

We would like to invite and warmly welcome new and returning Campers to all the activities we have planned for Camp Mayacama 2014! Summer days are fun days for kids at Camp Mayacama and this year promises to be the best yet! We will have Tennis Clinics and Swimming Clinics every weekday (yes, even Tuesdays) through August 15th! Since these clinics are scheduled before and after themed camps and field trips, it's possible for kids to add tennis and/or swimming to their, already exciting day. New this year, we have added a classic style camp called "Summer Fun" on most every Monday and Tuesday through August 12th.

BLS Enterprises washed and detailed cars here in the past and they do a great job at a very reasonable price. Once again we are pleased to have scheduled a Home & Home Match with CordeValle in San Martin, CA just south of San Jose. CordeValle was the host site for the Fry.com PGA Tour Tournament the past three years and has been selected to host the 2016 Women's US Open Championship.

The format is day one Four-Ball Match Play, day two Singles Matches. Mayacama teams are comprised of seven male Members and one Golf Professional. Entries will be received on a first, come-first, served basis.

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

The game is 9 point. All you need to bring is your favorite wedge and putter. You will play a match where the object is to reach nine points before your opponent. A short chip or pitch is selected to a specific hole. The start of each hole shall be played with your wedge, all following shots can be played with your putter. Points are received for the number of strokes taken as listed below. The first player to 9 points, wins. Beer and wine will be served.

1 stroke = 2 points
2 strokes = 1 point
3 strokes = 0 points
4 or more strokes = -1 point
