ANNOUNCEMENT
Club Update as of October 30, 2019

First and foremost we are happy to announce that the Club and Course have been unscathed from the Kincade Fire in Sonoma County.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to CAL FIRE and all of the first responders on the Kincade fire lines. Because of their due diligence in early evacuations, they were able to set up strike teams and staging areas to help keep this erratic fire at bay. Not only to protect the neighboring towns of Healdsburg and Windsor, but also from reaching Mayacama.

Yesterday, October 29th, we were able to gain access to Mayacama through first responders and we confirmed no damage to the Golf Course or Mayacama structures. Beginning at the gates you can see the burnt areas which we have been told was a backburn to keep the fire up on the Shiloh Ridge rather than reaching Mayacama. We were able to have an in-depth look at the Golf Course and began to utilize our mobile water tanker to water parts of the golf course that were in need of irrigation.

We are currently still in an active fire zone but as of 11 am this morning the red flag warning has dissipated and CAL FIRE expects to make major headway in the coming days on containment. We are awaiting any evacuation orders that may be lifted and we will communicate those when we know more. We expect that we can reopen in the coming week but we do not have a timeline on what that looks like at this point.

Best Regards,

Jonathan Wilhelm, Managing Partner
