KidVets and Dr. Pam Wittenberg, who has over 25 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine, will provide an in-depth exploration of all things veterinary. Children learn how veterinarians interact with their patients and how they use science, math, and their observational skills to help pets recover from illnesses and stay healthy. Scientific models, demonstrations, and live animal guests make for a rich, hands-on experience that brings science and veterinary medicine to life for future vets and animal lovers. Children apply their knowledge with lessons in exam skills, record keeping, surgery, animal handling, bandaging, vaccinations, grooming, x-ray, first aid, laboratory skills, microchips, pharmacy calculations, and more!

Stephanie will teach you how to make a lightweight and comfortable mask made out of simple everyday materials. They can be used as wearable masks for playtime, wall hangings, or anything else your imagination can think of. This improv class, specifically for ages 9+, explores improv games, techniques, and concepts in a fun, supportive environment. Our instructor, Joel Shura, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama from the University of California, Irvine, with his honors in Stage Direction. Upon graduation, Joel performed and taught with Irvine's premier clown troupe Clownzilla in and around Orange County, Los Angeles, England, France and Italy. Soon after his European clown bonanza, he enrolled at Improv Olympic West and the Actor's Boot Camp, located in the heart of Hollywood, where he continued his training in long-form improv and acting technique. Now an assistant-faculty member at Mendocino Jr. College, Joel teaches beginning acting, improv, and clowning to up-and-coming theatre students as well as coaches the resident teen improv troupe, OWN IT! Improv Division at SPACE. Joel will teach you how to make material up, think on your feet, come up with wild stories and characters and learn to play well with others while creating improvised theater! Other forms of comedy may also be explored. We would also like to invite friends and family watch you perform on the last day! No experience required.
