ANNOUNCEMENT
Ted Antonopoulos is heading to the Masters!

We are excited to announce that our Golf Professional Ted Antonopoulos has been invited to serve as a Rules Official at this year’s Masters Tournament, April 11-14, 2019!

As you know, Ted has been a Member of the PGA Rules Committee for the past six years, and also holds positions on the NCAA Championship Committee, the Pac-12 Championship Committee and the USGA Senior Amateur Championship Committee. In addition to working as a Rules Official, Ted is also an Instructor in the PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops.

Since he was a Junior Golfer growing up playing the game at Augusta Municipal Golf Course, aka “The Cabbage Patch”, Ted has had a passion for the game and the Rules of Golf which govern it.

“I am honored and humbled to have been invited to serve as a Rule Official at The Masters. The Masters invites Officials from around the world to conduct this great Tournament along with the Members of Augusta National Golf Club, and it will be an honor to be a part of that distinguished group. And humbled because having grown up in Augusta, the Masters has been such a huge part of our lives. My father attended the first Masters, then called The Augusta National Invitational. In High School, my brother Buddy, (Golf Professional Emeritus at Medalist Golf Club) worked on the scoreboard at the 11th hole, and years later I followed suit, working that same scoreboard in Amen Corner. And now, to take Susie back to my home town as I serve in this capacity is truly a humbling experience.”

In addition to The Masters, Ted has also been assigned to serve as a Rules Official at The 101st PGA Championship, to be played May 16 – 19 at Bethpage Black in New York.

Please join us in congratulating our Golf Professional as he represents our Club in this important capacity in two of Golf’s Major Championships!
