August 12 & 13, 2016

Mayacama Golf Club cordially invites you to compete in the 11th Annual Men's Senior Club Championship. Please keep this championship information for your future reference.

SENIOR DIVISION
Entries are open to Golf Members of Mayacama Golf Club who have reached their fifty-fifth birthday by August 12, 2016. The player with the lowest gross score will be named the 2016 Men's Senior Club Champion. The player with the lowest net score will be named the 2016 Men's Senior Mayacama Flight Champion.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION
Entries are open to Golf Members of Mayacama Golf Club who have reached their sixty-fifth birthday by August 12, 2016. The player with the lowest gross score will be named the 2016 Men's Super-Senior Club Champion. The player with the lowest net score will be named the 2016 Men's Super-Senior Mayacama Flight Champion.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
Stroke Play – 36 Holes

HANDICAPS
Players MUST have an established current USGA Handicap Index to compete in the net portion of this Championship. Players will receive 100% of their USGA Course Handicap up to 24 Strokes. The Maximum allowable Course Handicap is 24 Strokes. The Championship Committee will be using your current USGA Handicap Index as of August 1, 2016.

PAIRINGS
First round pairings within each division will be made by a blind draw. Second round pairings will be made based on first round scores (to be determined) within each Flight. Information regarding Friday’s pairings, starting times, etc. will be posted in the Golf Shop 48 hours prior to the start of the Championship. Pairings for Saturday’s final round will be posted in the Golf Shop after 4:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2016. It is the player’s responsibility to contact the Golf Shop at 707 569 2915 for this information.

STARTING TIMES / SCHEDULE OF MATCHES
Starting times listed below are approximate and will be determined once entries close and the field has been determined. The players shall start at the time laid down by the Championship Committee.

Friday, August 12- First Round
Senior Division
8:00 am - Starting on #1 Tee
Super-Senior Division
9:00 am - Starting on #1 Tee

Saturday, August 13- Second Round
Senior Division
8:00 am - Starting on #1 Tee
Super-Senior Division
9:00 am - Starting on #1 Tee

LATENESS ON TEE
If a player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time will be 2 strokes at the first hole. After five minutes, the player shall be disqualified.(Rule 6-3)

GOLF BALLS
Only brands of golf balls on the USGA list of conforming golf balls may be used. This list is available for your review in the Golf Shop and at www.USGA.org.

RULES OF GOLF
Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association. Questions shall be settled by the Mayacama Golf Club Championship Committee, whose decision shall be final. Knowledge of and adherence to the Rules of Golf are integral parts of sportsmanship. Each contestant should place special emphasis on knowledge of the Rules of Golf.

TIES
Ties for 1st place Gross and 1st Place Net in both the Senior and Super Senior Divisions will be decided by a sudden death playoff beginning on Hole #1. The playoff will begin immediately upon completion of score posting. Ties for 1st Place Gross will be played at scratch. Players who are tied for 1st Place Net will receive strokes as they appear on the scorecard.

PRIZES
The Champions of all four divisions will receive their own Championship Cup and have their names engraved on the Mayacama Men’s Senior Club Championship Trophy, which is on permanent display in the Mayacama Clubhouse. All other prizes will be in the form of gift certificates.

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee for this Championship is $100 per Member. Entry fees include all championship awards. Caddie fees are not included.

ENTRY CLOSING
All online registrations must be received no later than 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2016. All entrants MUST register either in the Golf Shop or on the Members Only website for an electronic confirmation. All players must contact the Golf Shop to confirm receipt of entry or online registration. Verbal and telephone entries will not be accepted.

• Add optional notes you would like to make to your booking. 
• Click REGISTER
• Print Confirmation and Close.
• Contact the Golf Shop at 707 569 2915 to confirm receipt of your entry.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance and no-shows will be responsible for 100% of the Entry Fee.
