Mayacama Golf Club cordially invites you to compete in the 12th annual Husband-Wife Club Championships. Please keep this championship information available for your future reference.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
Chapman Stroke Play – 18 Holes. In Chapman Stroke Play, two players play as partners, each playing from the teeing ground and each playing their partner’s ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score, and play that ball alternately to complete the hole.
ELIGIBILITY
Entries are open to Golf Members of Mayacama Golf Club who are married to each other at the time of this competition.
CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT
The Husband-Wife Team with the lowest gross score will be named the 2014 Mayacama Husband-Wife Club Champions.
MAYACAMA FLIGHT
Other than the low gross score as stated above, all other competitors will be competing against the entire field using their team handicap to determine the Mayacama Flight Champions for the year 2014.
HANDICAP INFORMATION
Both team members MUST have an established current USGA Handicap Index if they wish to compete for net prizes. The Championship Committee will be using your current USGA Handicap Index as of July 1, 2014. Maximum Course Handicap Allowance is 24 strokes for men and 36 strokes for women. In Chapman Stroke Play, the partner with the lower Course Handicap is allowed 60% of his/her Course Handicap. The partner with the higher Course Handicap is allowed 40% of his/her Course Handicap. Add the percentages together before rounding, and then round off the total with .5 or more rounded upward. This will determine the “Team Handicap”.
