| Upcoming Improvements to the Practice Tee |
|
|
We are excited to announce that for we will be renovating the Driving Range Tee! This is a long-awaited project and one that will improve turf conditions and provide more space on the tee. Over time, the sides and front of the tee have become uneven due to continual topdressing, and it is simply not up to our standard. This combined with the fact that the tee is seeing more use than ever makes it necessary to re-grass. We last worked on the tee in 2008 when we changed it from a two-tiered tee to the one we currently have. It is time.
The work itself will go rather quickly, 2-3 weeks (weather depending) then we will need to allow time, 2-3 weeks, for establishment. We will be closing the tee for the duration of the work starting Monday, February 2nd. A scheduled re-opening of Saturday, March 14th is set. In the meantime, we will create a temporary tee a little further up the range for short iron practice and warming up prior to your round.

Introducing Mayacama's New
Director of Racquet Sports, Ryan Olson |

We’re pleased to share that Ryan Olson has stepped into the role of Director of Racquet Sports. A familiar face at Mayacama, Ryan has served as our Tennis Professional since 2021 and brings more than 15 years of experience along with PTR Professional certification. His passion for creating a welcoming, inclusive racquet program continues to shape the experience for players of all ages and ability levels.
It’s an exciting time for racquet sports at Mayacama. With the recent resurfacing of one of our tennis courts and the upcoming addition of two brand-new pickleball courts, the program is entering a new chapter. Under Ryan’s leadership, the focus will be on fostering a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to get out and play.
Members can look forward to expanded programming including kid sessions and summer camps, member mixers, and weekly clinics designed for all levels—offering both skill development and a great way to connect on the courts. We’re excited to see the racquet community continue to grow and can’t wait to get started. |

Participation in this tournament is “reserved” for Members who landed on the Waitlist for last year's Mayacama Men’s Member-Guest. Participation in the Reserve will not affect your chances of playing in the 2026 Mayacama Men’s Member-Guest.

Priority for The Reserve goes to those on the 2025 Men’s Member-Guest waitlist.

Members exempt for the Men’s Member-Guest because they were not drawn in the lottery the last two years, or who played in 2025, are not eligible.

The only way to play in both tournaments is to be on last year’s waitlist and receive a successful draw in the 2026 Member-Guest Lottery.
