SAUVIGNON BLANC Combo
Retail: $240| $190

INCLUDED WINES:

2016 Accendo
Delicate aromas of citrus blossoms, guava and linden fill the nose, highlighted by notes of green almond and grapefruit rind. On the palate, the wine shows a firm vein of minerality that provides structure to the full, creamy mouthfeel, while on the finish, a lingering minerality completes the complex flavor experience. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Musque and Semillon, the wine is refreshing, expressive and sophisticated with a Graves-like, classic style. Notes winemaker Françoise Peschon: This wine exhibits a perfect ‘shape’, from the fresh attack, the full crescendo of bright flavor and creamy texture, and the beautiful decrescendo of the long, satisfying mineral finish. It is a beauty for sure.

2017 Duckhorn Vineyards
Enticing aromas of grapefruit, melon and lime leap from the glass, followed by tropical notes of lychee, pineapple and passionfruit. On the palate, this Sauvignon Blanc is juicy and bright, with silky layers of fruit balanced by lovely natural acidity and a vibrant streak of minerality. Hints of zesty citrus and subtle baking spices linger throughout a long, focused finish.

2017 Grieve Family Winery
The nose jumps out of the glass with aromas of apricot, nectarine, peach, lemongrass, grapefruit, honeydew melon, toasted pine nuts and hyacinth. The mouth-feel of the wine is explosive yet quite crisp, featuring the amazing mouthwatering cornucopia of fruit in the wine. That crispness drives flavors of spring flowers, hyacinth, grapefruit, kaffir lime and cardamom. The beauty of this wine is the amazing aromatics, power of fruit mixed with exotic flavors, bright acidity and a truly astonishingly long finish that lingers and lingers!

2017 Merry Edwards
The bright, shimmering, green-gold hue of this Sauvignon Blanc is a visual overture to a striking personality. Its enticing aroma is highly perfumed with honeysuckle, citrus blossom, white rose and gardenia. Honeydew melon, nectarine, ripe Rainier cherry, tangerine, Kaffir lime and summer hay add complexity, along with hints of sweet oak and toasted hazelnut.

On the palate, vibrant acidity is finely balanced with a rich, creamy mouthfeel creating a unique textural experience — reminiscent of a refreshing blood orange sorbet. The finish is broad and lingers with sweet pink grapefruit and Meyer lemon zest.

2016 Quivira
Aromas of tropical fruit, mixed citrus, and melon leap from the glass. Flavors that echo the nose quickly expand to include Meyer lemon, pineapple, honeydew melon, freshly cut grass, and green olive. The round, pleasant entry gives way to an uncommonly full mid-palate and long, flavorful finish. Acidity is crisp and refreshing, a captivating counterpoint to the wine’s other elements. Quivira Sauvignon Blanc is a clean, fruit-forward white for any occasion.

2017 Joseph Phelps Vineyard
Rich and yet conveying a sense of refinement right from the first with a deft bit of sweet oak in league with deep, lightly grassy fruit that stays center stage throughout its considerable length, the latest from Phelps is a carefully balanced, medium-full-bodied offering that hits all of the varietal marks without exaggeration of any. It is slightly fleshy and rounded in feel and finishes with fine firming acidity, and the layering at which it already hints is certain to become more manifest if afforded another few years in the cellar.

CHARDONNAY Combo
Retail: $374| $300

INCLUDED WINES:

2016 Benovia, Three Sisters Vineyard, Fort Ross-Seaview
Maybe the most Burgundian Chardonnay in the Benovia portfolio, this seductive Chardonnay displays explosive aromas of Kaffir lime and citrus blossom with underlying mineral notes. On the pallet the wine displays tension between bright acidity and cool-climate structure framed with flavors of ripe apple and lemon custard. This wine is delightfully elegant upon release but will continue to gain complexity with bottle age for 3 to 5 years.

2014 Dumol ‘clare’, Hyde Vineyard
Gleaming with a pale gold straw color, notes of lemon curd, honeyed apple and white peach dominate, alongside cedar and nutmeg, caraway seed and truffle. This wonderful integration of fruit and savory characteristics carries through seamlessly from aroma to palate. It’s a sophisticated wine, pure and powerful with obvious vineyard-driven density, extract and inner depth. The finish is long with an underscore of earthy lees, oatmeal and spearmint.

2016 Lynmar Estate
Lynmar Estate’s 45-acre Quail Hill Vineyard has five distinct blocks of Chardonnay. The largest, Block 14, was planted in 1974 to the Rued Chardonnay Clone, known for its stunning floral notes. The remaining vines are Old Wente Clone, which add a weighty, round richness to this release. A clear pale straw color in the glass, the Quail Hill Chardonnay emanates vibrant aromas of fresh lemon curd, Jasmine flower, honeycomb and tangerine peel. On the palate, flavors of lemon meringue and kiwi emerge leading to hints of nutmeg and wet stone. Bright acidity carries into a long finish, highlighting notes of lemongrass and pie crust.

2016 Kister Vineyard, Les Noisetiers
The 2016 Chardonnay Les Noisetiers, Kistler's Sonoma Coast appellation wine, is terrific. Dried pear, chamomile, lemon confit, spice and dried flowers are all finely-knit in an attractive mid-weight Chardonnay that captures all of the signatures of the Kistler house style. All of the elements meld together in a sensual, silky Chardonnay that hits all the right notes. An intense sense of the mountain heritage of the delicate stone fruit that is lifted, like its McCrea cousin, yet firmer, and with a stronger core and added layers of richness.

2016 Tor, Torchiana, Bresini Vineyard
Very Burgundian in style. This is always a favorite among the lineup due to the intensity that the old dry farmed vines provide this wine. The aromatics here are more white flowers, honeysuckle, lemon oil and crystallized ginger. The palate is very rich and full with terrific background acidity. The palate reveals some wet stone, tangerine, and tails off to an amazingly long smooth finish.

2016 Wren Hop, Ritchie by Proxy, Ritchie Vineyard
Ritchie vineyard is famous for its concentration and this wine is no exception. Made with partial malolactic fermentation to retain focus and freshness and sur lie aging in 100% new French barrels contributed texture and density. Although this Chardonnay is opulent and deeply-structured, it's also just plain fun to drink.
