We are excited to announce the opening of our newly renovated Practice Tee this Saturday, March 14, just in time for the St. Patrick’s Day Fourball! While we’ve had a temporary tee set up farther forward during the work, we couldn't be more excited to have the full tee back in play.
The work was completed in mid-February, and since then we have been diligently mowing, maintaining, and giving the turf the time it needs to establish properly. The results have been fantastic, and the turf is nearly ready for play.
As part of the renovation, we gained somewhere between 15–20% more teeing ground, especially when you consider the small tee in front that we were able to add.
What is this for, you may ask?
It simply gives us more space and flexibility. The additional teeing area gives us a location we can use for outside events or times when we need to perform maintenance on the main tee. Altogether, the added space is nearly a football field in width, which will allow us to better rotate the teeing areas and keep the turf in great shape throughout the season.
We’re confident everyone will enjoy the added room—and, of course, the beautiful new turf!
