Cabernet Sauvignon Combo
Retail: $856| $706
INCLUDED WINES:
2014 Kenzo, Rindo
The flagship wine of Kenzo Estate, Rindo is the singular expression of the entire vineyard. An alluring mosaic of Bordeaux varietals assembled from diverse vineyard blocks throughout the many varied microclimates of the estate, the varietal components of Rindo are fermented separately in small tanks and held in French oak barrels in the cave for twenty months. Blending these discrete flavors draws together the authority of the Cabernet Sauvignon, the suppleness of Merlot and the floral intrigue of Cabernet Franc. All together, these elements comprise a harmonious wine with vitality emphasized in preference over brute power.
2015 Skipstone Oliver’s Blend
Since the inaugural Skipstone vintage of 2005, their annual approach with Oliver’s Blend is to create a blend of Cabernet Sauvignons from up to 20 individual small lots.
With so many pockets of soil differentiation and exposures, Oliver’s Blend is a symphonic compilation of aroma and flavor. This, coupled with clonal diversity of multiple Cabernet clones throughout our hillside plantings, creates an exceptionally complex wine. Year after year, this is a wine of profound power and elegance.
2012 The Mascot
Made from the younger vines of Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory, The Mascot shares a unique glimpse into the evolution of their winegrowing estates. This cabernet is a hedonistic blend of power and balance; expressive and approachable early in its life, with potential to evolve well into the future. Ready to drink upon release, it will age for decades given the opportunity. The Mascot has such deep and expansive flavors and is so compelling, it’ll make you question how you got a wine of this quality, for this price. Grab some now before this Mascot disappears…
2014 Audacieux Oakville
The 2014 Audacieux Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine deliberately made to emulate the style of fine Bordeaux and embody the tradition of patience and excellence but also to embrace the fruit, texture and roundness that has made Napa wine so famous. The 2014 Audacieux is an extracted full bodied wine with layers of berry and dark stone fruit, a long finish and elegant tannins that lend to a round and soft mouthfeel. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine is balanced and approachable now but will age well for decades and will continue to evolve with time.
2013 Silver Oak Napa
The 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine is dark ruby in color and entices you with a nose of raspberry, cassis and loose pipe tobacco. This full-bodied wine has an assertively silky structure and is notably spicy on the palate. Flavors of sage and blackberry mark the wine’s entry. The strong acidity in the mid-palate is followed by a lingering finish. Given proper cellaring, this wine will provide drinking pleasure through 2038.
2015 Tor Tierra Roja
Drive the Oakville Cross Road to the Silverado Trail then look directly forward and up and you see Tierra Roja, a small four acre jewel of a hillside vineyard. Great neighbors – Backus, Screaming Eagle, Maya and Rudd. The vineyard is dotted with big rocks, and the soil is definitely roja (very red). You might expect the wines to be massive, but they are very perfumed, dark, and complex. Tierra Roja is an impression of seamless sweet Cabernet fruit with a bright lifted earth profile allied with blackberry, cassis and blueberry. This is easily one of the most amazing sites a Napa Cabernet can come from where the goal is to just get out of the way and not screw it up.

PINOT NOIR Combo
Retail: $624| $499
INCLUDED WINES:
2014 & 2015 Kosta Browne (wine director’s choice)
Flavorful, intense wines – that is their goal. They believe every wine should be bursting with flavor. This intensity should be part of a greater balance. They find that each of their vineyards has its own “sweet spot” of balance. It is their charge to guide each vineyard to its optimum flavor potential. Their single vineyard wines are blended to express the specific qualities and consistencies of our pedigreed vineyards. Pinot Noir is the perfect palate to define the terroir of these plantings. Kosta Browne Pinot Noirs are highly flavorful and intensely fruity wines. Their lineup includes Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley and Santa Lucia Highlands appellation bottlings, and single vineyard wines from Keefer Ranch, Amber Ridge, Koplen Vineyard, Kanzler Vineyard, Gap's Crown Vineyard, Garys' Vineyard, Pisoni Vineyard, and Rosella's Vineyard. We have limited amounts of Kosta Browne pinots so I will choose the wine to be included in your combo pack. Single vineyard bottlings will be chosen to the first members who respond to this offer, then the remaining wines will be one of the appellation wines.
2014 Dumol ryan
This is the darkest and deepest and most fruit-driven of our 2014 pinots, the most overtly Californian in style and substance – so probably the most popular! We’ve produced wine from these thirty year old vines since 1996 so have a level of intimacy with them that is unrivalled.Dark brooding fruit flavors: black raspberry and vineyard-typical black cherry compote. Anise, rosemary and mint leaf then smoked meat. Bold fruit entry, obvious concentration and density but always fresh and pure. Blackberry sweetness, rich and broad, palate-staining. Lingering cherry pit and bergamot tea finish.
2015 Merry Edwards, Meridith
From the cool Sebastopol Hills in the Russian River AVA the vineyards have perfect orientation to the sun which allows fruit to ripen somewhat earlier in the season than would be expected from its cool-climate location. Meanwhile the row direction protects the fruit from excess heat and sunburn — a winning combination. This Meredith’s opaque purple color is the first sensory clue to its dramatic nature. The expansive fruit profile nearly leaps out of the glass with exotic wild berry, sweet brambleberry pie, boysenberry, raspberry fruit leather and lingonberry. Strong floral notes of roses and violets are joined by scents of oolong tea and spicy, toasted oak.A rich, full entry expands into a deep, bold palate — rich and broad in structure. Thick, mouth-coating tannins combined with mouthwatering acidity give this Pinot playful vitality and energy. The finish is memorable for its powerful elegance.
2014 Paul Hobbs Hyde Vineyard
Since the winery’s inception Paul Hobbs has been producing a vineyard designate from this esteemed site. Located in the Carneros region, its gentle rolling hills offer a number of microclimates that is perfectly suited for growing both luxury pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon. The 2014 Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard, exhibits crisp acidity, notes of raspberry, cherry, forest floor, and dusty, loamy soil notes. It is elegant, medium to full-bodied, and just another beauty from Paul Hobbs to drink over the next 5-10 years
2016 Wren Hop, Shadow Voices:
Shadow Voices hails from their estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is farmed specifically for power and flavor development while retaining vibrant acidity through strict canopy management. This is a classic Wren Hop Pinot showcasing complex notes of cherry balsamic, hibiscus tea, clove and dried herbs. It's an inky, dense and multi-layered wine due to the small thick-skinned berries harvested during crush. The polished tannins hint at even greater things to come. As for hearing voices? Most likely your neighbors are telling you to keep it down.
2014 Red Car, Ft.Estate, Ross-Seaviesw
Our newest Vintner Member planted the vineyard in 2005 to multiple suitcase selections and Dijon clones of Pinot Noir. The fifth vintage from this site displays a familiar level of intensity that is attributed to the maturing of these vines, as well as the favorable growing conditions for 2014. The well-drained Ohlson Ranch sandstone soils naturally limit vigor while the cool sunshine, moderated by the fog covered Pacific Ocean, maintains balanced ripening throughout the growing season. The wine shows raspberry androse petals with Asian spice. This is a perfumed Pinot Noir, with mouth-watering acidity and completely integrated tannins.
